You will step straight from your villa on to the sunny lower terrace with barbecue, dining table and chairs. A choice of steps or a ramp take you up to the large, solar-heated, saline swimming pool. Villa guests have exclusive use of the pool and the surrounding terraces which are laid to lawn, limestone and gravel. Laze around the pool, enjoy the cooler elevated position of the stunning pavilion, or even take a nap in the hammock under the shade of the huge yew tree. The pool area has stunning views of the surrounding vineyards and countryside.

In the coconut and teak wood pavilion, enjoy your aperitif of local pineau des charentes or a glass of chilled white or smooth Bordreaux red as you take in the delightful views of the sparkling blue pool and the Charentaise countryside. Beautifully lit at night, the pavilion is the perfect spot for a romantic dinner for two.

Located so close to the vineyards, you are treated to a birds-eye view of the vine-growing process and there are numerous opportunities in the immediate area for tasting the local brew. There is a village only 1.5km from the property. Why not borrow one of our bicycles and take the ‘chemins blancs‘ – small tracks – through the vineyards and sunflower fields to the village to pick up your croissants, bread, or your pineau des charentes from the producers there. The village boasts a café-restaurant, a bakery, a butcher’s/general store, a newsagent’s, a takeaway pizza restaurant, and several pineau producers. Fresh fish and seafood are frequently on sale from a stall outside the church.
